Replacement project will be an old 67-68 mustang fastback. Not an elanor clone! Just a fun weekend car to cruise in. I want to do a complete resto job this time. Hopefully it'll keep me occupied longer...

Latest news on the car. If everyone has looked at my pictures on my web page, notcice the oil pedestal. Well it is not on there anymore. I put the stock oil pedestal back on. Here is the reason why: (go to the group buy section for further information)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"After conversing with the manufacturer of the oil filter pedestals he forwarded me this statement:
As a continued effort to supply the best products possible we would like to offer an upgrade to an existing product you have purchased. This upgrade involves the permanent attachment of the filter thread and/or the banjo fitting on the replacement oil pedestal you purchased. This is a voluntary upgrade that will be performed free of charge for you our customer. A singular report of failure on the filter thread post was brought to our attention. We are unclear of all the circumstances related to this failure, but this upgrade is how all future pedestals will be manufactured. You may at your discretion and piece of mind remove the part and ship it back to us for update.
If you desire to take part in this free upgrade; package your oil filter pedestal and address the package as the following:
MRC Manufacturing
ATTN: Daniel Eichner
465 Maltbie Street, Suite 215
Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045
So all who desire to take part in this upgrade can be informed an email with the above statement will be sent to each of your email addresses."

I sent it off about a week ago so it should be on its way back sometime soon. I originally just hand tightened the stock one on just to keep stuff out of my oil lines. A guy is coming by today to look at my car so I tightened everything up and got my car back out on the road. I WILL include the aluminum oil pedestal with the sale, it just will not be installed. It worked great for me, I had zero problems with it. The only reason I sent it back was to get the latest revision done for free. Better safe than sorry even though it worked perfect for me. Also the bigger lip made changing oil filters so much easier too. Oil would not run all down the side of the engine like it does with the stock oil pedestal.
Repeat, the stock oil pedestal IS on the car currently and the aluminum oil pdestal WILL BE included with the sale of the car (just not installed). I'll even throw in the auto zone wrench I cut in half to make installing it easy!

Thats a nice looking mustang. Scammers suck.
Thanks, it's going to need a lot of TLC but I think it will be a fun project.

I got about 5 of those when I sold my Jetta... even went as far as getting one guy to send me a check, I was going to see if my bank could track who sent it or who canceled the payment on it, when they do, to see if I could catch the guy.
But he never sent the check .
