I just picked up this 1994 Mazda RX7 from New Jersey, but I just found a great deal that I don't want to pass up so I am letting this one go. The car is almost 100% stock. It has been so long since I drove a stock FD, amazing how nice they ride and handle and how quiet they are...MP's are the devil.

The car has all emmissions options still equiped, pre-cat, main cat, air pump, recircualting bypass valves, etc...so it will pass emmissions w/o a problem. It passed New Jersey emmissions less then 3 months ago.
The only aftermarket parts on the car are:
Tokico Illumina Struts
Greddy Power Extreme Exhaust
Clarion CD/MP3 Player
That's it. The engine bay is 100% OEM, down to the very last piece of plastic. This car is a 2 owner car, I bought it from the 2nd owner who has had the car for the past 7 years. The car is amazingly clean inside and out. The seats show very minimal wear, the floormats are in good shape, the rear bins still have the felt OEM linings, the trunk still has the spare key in the OEM baggy it came with from back in 1994. The car was a late sold 1994 model, sold in 1995 in New York and then sold again to the 2nd owner in 1997 or 1998. The car runs great....it is still on the factory engine, tranny, ecu, etc....all stock.
The car has 102,300 miles on it. Starts right up, very little smoke on cold starts which is common. The car idles perfect, all the gauges, lights, switches, etc...all work perfectly. The car is solid. And what I always look for is the pedigree of ownership, a car that can run 102,xxx miles on the original engine and still run perfectly shows me that it was well taken care of, and never abused. This car has never been raced, launched on, etc....it was just a sports car bought to enjoy by both owners.
The interior condition I would rate at a 8.5-9/10, clean durable 94 plastics are a must I think, the cubby covers, felt liners, passenger door handle, etc...all notorious problem areas are all in excellent condition.
The exterior condition is about an 8/10. The paint is original, still has luster and shine, there are 2 very small dents on the entire car, and just some typical useage makrs, knicks, scratches, etc...all very minor if noticable at all. The front bumper had a front plate on it forever, so the paint is a bit off around that area, nothing crazy, but the front bumper to me is not mint, unless you run a front plate again, then you would never notice. I am trying to be as honest about the condition of the car as I can be.
When I bought the car, the radiator was leaking, so I had to install a new radiator and flush the coolant. It is now in excellent shape, runs perfectly, no leaks, temps stay solid, etc...I believe the stock cats may be due for replacement, it was on my list of future plans for the car, but since I am going to try and build a new project, I never got around to it.
It is pictured w/ the Work wheels which are not included in the price, they are available if you wanted them, but it is priced w/ the stock FD wheels w/ Bridgestone Potenza RE750 tires all around in good condition. There is one pic of the car w/ the stock wheels, this was taken this past summer by the previous owner. My pics were just taken outside, sorry the car is not washed or waxed or anything....it was just driven in this nasty muck.

Thats an * move there buddy. You buy the car for $5,000 or whatever deal you work out and then come over here and try to sell it for over twice as much? I understand if you fixed it up first. It is the same car, just dirty. Sorry if business is a horrible thing for you guys. Yes, it is fixed, yes I am selling it for a profit, why would I not? Also, I did not buy the car for $5k, he had higher offers which I had to beat, plus the cost of picking it up and repairing the problems with it. Thanks though for posting everything, I love the idea of capitalasim, I saw a deal, I took it....what am I supposed to deal if a deal falls into my lap? Pass it on?

And another thing that gets me, is I bought this car blind. I paid for the car w/o any idea what could be wrong with it. It's called risk. I also took the time to spend 19hrs driving out there to pick it up, 19hrs back, etc...then getting car home and hoping all is well. It could have all went horrible, the car could have been quite a problem for me, something that could have cost me X amount of dollars. Luckily this car once repaired drives amazing, handles great, etc...$11k for a 94 w/ 100k miles is not unreasonable I do not think. I am looking to make a 50% return on my investment, you do the math and figure out how much I have in the car.
You call me an ******* for no reason other then doing business online.....now to me, it's business. To me the ******* thing is to follow a post around, and start calling me names, start telling everyone that I am trying to make a profit on my risk, telling me that I can not enjoy the benefits of being first in line with money ready, telling me that life can not be fair, that my good fotune is for not. And I'm the ******* here? Please find me a 94 FD for sale, preferably Black for less then $11k in excellent running condition w/ a great body, mint engine bay, and excellent interior. I am pricing the car to sell, to me this car is a good deal. The deal I got was a better deal, but it involved risk, it involved buying an FD from someone who knew nothing about RX7's except how to shift them.

It could be worse. You could have taken a perfectly good car and parted it down to nothing like some people. At least your selling it as a whole.
