The skinny: 1988 Mazda RX-7 10th Anniversary TII. You know what this is – one of 1,500, special decals and color, black leather seats, glass breaking sensors, gold tinted windows, etc., etc. Approximately 135,000 miles.



It is not currently running because the upper intake manifold, throttle body, fuel injectors and exhaust are removed. It has been sitting for about two years. It ran fine before storage. The paint is peeling and places and there are some dents and some surface rust. The car is located in Northern Kentucky, ZIP code 41017, about five miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio.



This car will need to be towed. It could be put back together in a day or two, so if you need to keep it where it is (in my mom’s driveway) for a weekend or two so you can fix it up, then that is fine. But I would need the money and the title transferred first. I am asking $1,800 OBO.



The lowdown: I’ve owned this car since May 2001. I stored it in early 2003 because I purchased another RX-7 (also for sale) and because I wanted to upgrade to a s5 turbo and intake manifolds, replace the vacuum hoses and have the fuel injectors cleaned. I got too busy with school and work, and now I’ve moved about three hours away to grad school so I do not have the time to put this back together.



I understand everyone’s reservations about purchasing an RX-7 that has been sitting for two years, but I took the necessary precautions before storing it if that helps any. The car ran fine before storage. The only problem is that one of the headlight motors is out. What you see is what you get. The car is 10 minutes from Cincinnati, an hour from Lexington and Dayton, an hour and half from Louisville, two hours from Columbus and Indianapolis. I’d prefer people from Miami, Canada, Minnesota, Iowa and South Carolina to not contact me unless they are serious about buying this car (which I highly doubt considering the cost of having it shipped/towed would nearly double the price).



Other than being put back together, the car would need the following to run: a battery, spark plugs/wires, a leading coil and some coolant hose. I have all the necessary gaskets and fuel injectors o-rings for it.



The car has a racing beat rear sway bar with end links, a Corksports 3" stainless steel cat-back exhaust, a Racing Beat downpipe, a Bonez high-flow cat, the A/C, ACV, EGR, air pump and sub zero start removed, J-Spec S5 alternator with dual pulley, Mazdatrix SS brake lines, Corksport SS clutch line, Racing Beat FCD, rewired fuel pump, Walbro fuel pump,
