I know this isn't a mitsu forum, but posting it for sale over there yields no responses because everyone there already has one!

Besides I'm selling it so that I can focus my time on the RX-7



Details:

'01 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTV6, 5-speed, premium package.

42k miles, most of that highway stuff. balance of factory powertrain warranty until 60k or November this year.

I'm the original owner of the car.

Stored during the last three winters.



Green Exterior.

Black Leather Interior.

Sunroof (which doesn't mess up your hair when it's open)

Front and Side airbags

ABS

Power everything

A/C blows cold

Factory 4-disc in dash changer hooked up to a 1000 Watt stereo. All of the stereo equipment is installed in the cargo area, underneath the cargo cover. So it sounds really good, but looks stock to ward off thieves.

Sound deadening installation to further improve the sound quality of the car.



When new alot of the magazines liked it, except for the too-mushy handling. I felt the same way. I replaced the suspension with:

Thicker sway bar in back, which really makes the handling more neutral.

Eibach Pro-kit springs - lowers it 1". Not much, so it's still manueverable in the real world.

Koni Yellow Shocks - These were the best upgrade. Not only do they control body motions of the car better by having stiffer low speed damping setting, but they are softer than either stock/KYB/or Tokicos (which I've experienced all) due to having softer high speed damping characteristics.

18"x8" O.Z. Racing Superleggera wheels.

The handling with this setup is actually very nuetral, though you can carve some of the more open corners at insanely high speeds. Do not pass go and go directly to jail type speeds on the corners. It's stable approaching the top speed of 140 mph. It's fast enough that I've managed to scare myself too much driving it.

The brakes have been upgraded with Powerslot slotted and cross drilled rotors with carbon/kevlar pads. Works damn good.

the V6 has been opened up with an intake kit. Not much but it makes the car sound so beautiful at high RPMs. No offense guys but it sounds much better than an RX-7. Something about sixes often sound so good.



I've got red lights placed throughout the interior to light the inside with a red glow. This seems to usually impress the ladies even more after they get in the car.



It's extremely comfortable and pretty fast. A Turbo II will probably out run it. but it'll outrun a N/A car. And it'll be alot more reliable than turbo II, or a 3rd gen. It's also alot roomier than any RX-7. WIth a back seat that usable for more than just kids. It'd be prefect for someone who wants a low mileage GT tocomplement their sports car RX-7.

It's also been well taken care of. Synthetic oil changes every 2500 miles (overkill, I know). It was my baby. It's been extremely reliable and suprisingly capable.



Why am I selling it you ask? Well I've got a Tacoma for winters here in MN. I've also got a motorcycle for the summer. And I've got this old '83 RX-7 that I've had for like nine years that I want to restore. The Eclipse is an extra that I don't really need anymore. Plus I got laid off of work, so I'm struggling with the car payments/insurance of this car.



kbb.com lists the average private party value of my car at $12,000 without the mods. I'm willing to let it go for that price with most of the mods changed back to stock. Otherwise I'd let it go with the mods for 60% of the price of the Mods plus the aforementioned 12,000.
