Fs: '93 Fd
#1
Ok guys, while I thank you for your help on the forum, I've decided to sell the FD. I'm looking for new jobs. While I can still afford it right now, I probably won't be able to with my new job, as I expect to take at least a 33% pay cut because I'm moving into a new field, and I'll have no experience.
The previous owner had a thread for it when he was selling it (thread) that has most of the information. I was giving the local people first dibs, but there are already a few FDs here running 11s. The following is an excerpt from the local thread (Danny and Brad are locals that have helped me with the car).
Paid $12.5k for it. Put on a new trans (from a JY), starter ($200) and Optima red top battery ($100). I'll eat the sales tax, which was from savings.
I'll let it go for $14K.
The good:
I've only put about 120 miles on the car. That puts mileage on the new engine at under 11,000.
Rebuilt engine is mildly street ported (smallest template out there I'm told).
Stock twins rebuilt by BNR, non-sequential setup, silicone hoses, ported wastegate.
Greddy Profec B Boost Controller
Haltech EK6 - tuned by Pettit for 10:1 under boost, tuned to 11 psi.
Supra TT fuel pump
Full 3" exhaust: Pettit DP and MP, unsure of cat back as it's the only part that predates Brad. Probably a Super Dragger or HKS. No emissions.
Apexi intakes
Greddy IC, stock placement
ACT high pressure plate with organic disc
Greddy Pullys for Alternator and Water Pump
Tranny under warranty here in town
'99 R1 Front Lip
Right now there are autometer boost and oil pressure gauges mounted in the A pillar pod. There's a water temp gauge mounted at the hood release (driver left knee). I was conidering getting rid of the oil pressure and water temp to go back to the dash gauges. I'm not a big fan of extraneous gauges.
The bad:
-Holes in the trunk lid from Brad's wing still aren't fixed. If the buyer is interested I can add this to the sale for the amount it costs.
-Speedo and dash illuminator lights don't work. I'm hoping to have this fixed soon, as I've narrowed it down to the dash harness ground wire that lost its ground when the Haltech was installed. The other instruments have alternate grounds according to the wiring diagram. I'm 90% sure this is the problem, so once I find the dash harness I'll run another ground with some 10G and good connectors w/ solder.
-The interior door panels have the usual Mazda '93 Rx7 problem. There's not much to do about it honestly. I sourced new panels at $200/side. Danny found a DIY on rx7club.com that will strengthen everything, but won't fix the existing problem.
-The stereo Brad put in seems to only put out sound to the right front speaker. I'm guessing this is the door wiring. But I'm horrible with electrical.
Right now the car is mechanically in great shape (a rarity in FDs), but needs an electrician (stereo, dash etc).
I'm going to take pictures now. But you can see the referenced thread above for some. I'll also carfax it and throw a link up there for that.

Edit: Almost forgot.. email me kkw4p@***.net if you want a faster response.

Pics:
Some of you may notice the tach is from an Auto. The car was originally an Auto, the previous owner converted it to a manual. The trans they put on it wasn't that good, hence me dumping over $1K into getting a better one..

Fixed the dash lights and the speedo.
Car is still for sale if anyone is interested.
Price down to $12.5K because I'd like to sell it before I get PCSed.
PM or email kkw4p@***.net .
