173,xxx miles

I am the 2nd owner, the first was my grandfather. I got the car at 145k.

I have extensive maintenance records.

I am going to be 100% honest about this car, hopefully you can appreciate that.

The car is Arctic Silver. It is a Sport model meaning it came with the aero pieces and 4 pot front brakes. I no longer have the front lip aero piece.

Paint is not so good. Pretty good all the way down both sides of the car. Roof and hood badly faded. Front bumper has some scratches, nothing really noticeable until you look up close though. I repainted the rear bumper with spraypaint because all the original paint was flaking off of it. I did proper prep and everything on it. It looks decent, much better than the flaking paint.

There is rust behind all 4 wheels on the fenders.

I did something very stupid and turned a little to sharp around a gas pump pulling in to get gas and the corner of the curb hit the side skirt (it hasnt any but for lack of better term) and popped my tire. It made a dent which is rusted. The new tire does not match the others.

The other tires probably have like 50-60% left on them.

I refinished the black part of the tail lights and they look great.

Interior:

The interior is very clean for a car this age. It is grey and black. The drivers seat has a small tear on the bottom bolster seam. I replaced the S4 stereo surround with the rubber one from an S5 (vents also). The drivers window defroster vent has one broken fin. The carpet in the hatch is lightly stained with something brown that was there before I got it. Otherwise, the interior is in great shape.

I have an Alpine CDA9895 head unit in there with Infinity Reference speakers up front and Alpine Type S's in the back. There is also a line running from the head unit to connect your ipod or whatever player.

The car has a sunroof, however it is no longer functional. I just came back from vacation one day and it didnt work anymore. I think the cable is broken because you can hear the motor going still when you push the buttons. Luckily it stopped working when it was closed. It doesnt leak.

The hatch shocks need replacing. The hatch stays up, but you have to lift it yourself.

Engine/Meachanical:

I have changed the oil every 3k or less since I got the car with Castrol GTX with either a K&N, Purolator, or Mobil 1 filter. The past couple times I have gotten it done by a mechanic though.

The plugs and wires have been changed recently.

I changed all the belts a few weeks ago because the alternator belt broke.

I also had to get a new alternator right after that.

Two major oil lines were just replaced. I honestly dont know which exact ones, I noticed the leak and took it in. I do know that they were expensive.

The brakes have been done a couple months ago.

The pulsation damper has been replaced.

The car has a Borla catback on it. This is the only mod besides the stereo stuff.

Many other things have been replaced, and I have records for most every bit of it.

The car runs and pulls great, no problems there. HOWEVER, just in the past few days it has had trouble starting. I have no idea why. It started just after I got the alternator replaced. On a cold start it takes 4 or 5 seconds for it to crank over and then dies right away. The second crank it will start up quick but it still wants to die, you have to hold the throttle on for a bit to keep it going. Once you get going, its completely fine and has no problems at all. That problem really only happens on a really cold start. If youve been driving around and stop at the store or whatever and get back in it will start right up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This car has been loved all its life. My grandfather is 75 year old retired engineer and as you can imagine has owned many cars in his life. He still claims it is the best car he has ever owned.

This car is my first love and my baby, but its just time for me to let it go. I am one of those guys who parks all the way in the back of the lot away from other cars. I know it is not a mint condition car, but it IS 20 years old. I have kept it as nice as I could in the 4 or so years Ive owned it.

This car would be a great fixer upper or project car for any of you guys. I am not BSing you about any part of the car.

I am asking $1,000 OBO

Im located in Marlton, NJ. I need to sell it soon because I am picking up a Miata in place of it tomorrow.
