Hey guys,

Selling the NA car to pay for more parts for the turbo beast .

Its a 86 NA, 131k miles on the chassis, 18k on rebuild. I rebuilt the motor, using a complete atkins kit including all new bearings and hard and soft seals. Also had the irons professionally resurfaced on a cnc surface grinder. Medium large streetport, with exhaust diffusers removed. This is basically a new engine. The intake manifolds are port matched and polished(inside). It has a 2.5" straight aluminized exhaust from the stock manifold back to the Y pipe, with a custom supply tube for the aux port activation. All the emissions, PS and AC are gone, although i could reinstall them if you wanted. Also has an ebay strut bar, a first gen tranny for lower gearing, an adjustable sublink and solid differential mount.

The interior (red) is in real nice shape, and includes some custom 6.5 full range speakers in the door panels, a clarion drx9275l head unit, and a clarion 6 disk changer. I'll also throw in a 12" sub and box if you want it. theres no rear speakers in it now, but those are easy to install. You do need an amp to run this setup, as the stereo has only preamp outputs and no high power ones. Its a pretty old stereo, and you ahve to use the CD changer to play CDs, but its really full featured and was the top of the line unit clarion made at the time. Also got a first gen steering wheel ( i like them better than the poofy fc ones).

Outside you have shaved door handles, complete with poppers and a remote with a whole bunch of spare channels if you want to hook anything else up. also has 15" stock wheels with almost new snow tires on them, and i can throw in a set of fairly ugly 3bar aftermarket 15s if you want them too.

I do have a parts car that can go with this if you want it, but theres not a huge amount left on it, except a full 5 lug conversion that you can sell for around 400 bucks, or keep for spares.

Now the bad stuff:

the body isnt great. it has lots of small dings, and some surface rust underneath. This car sat in a friends garage for a year or two before he sold it back to me. When i got it back, it was kinda rusty, and carbon locked. We put all new fuel lines on it, and I freed the engine, which runs perfect, and wasnt damaged at all as far as i can tell. There is something wrong with the headlight retractor circuit, they work but dont come up. The engine was painted with high temp paint when i built it, but after sitting so long it is all flaking off and looks kinda shitty. The cheapo mufflers that were on it are basically gone, and one already fell off. The actual exhaust is fine, but you would need to get some new cans and clamp them on the back.

The ebrake cable is sticky from sitting, and might need replaced or lubed. It might just free up after you drive some, i dunno. Ive run around 5 gallons of gas through this thing since i got it, just to make sure it ran and was drivable, thats about it.

Car has a clean wv title, it is signed but not in my name. I believe i have a bill of sale too, but I havent looked for it. The guy whos name is on the title is a friend of mine, so if it makes you uncomfortable, we can contact him and get a bill of sale or whatever.

The story on this is that it was my first 7, and i did a bunch of work to it and drove it for 20k miles or so, then sold it to a former GT series race driver who wanted to make it into a SCCA car. He had some personal problems and never got around to more than painting it and parking it in his garage for a year or two. We got it out and fired it up on the first try, and he drove it a couple times this summer, but then it carbon locked (common after sitting for a long time), and rather than screw with it, he sold it abck to me.

I know the car isnt in perfect shape, but its a great starting point.. the engine is great, all the plastic interior stuff is good, the body is easily fixable. asking 2250 OBO. more precise location is central wv zip 25268. I may be able to arrange delivery if necessary. if anyone has questions, reply, PM, hit me up on aim (patmanxc), or call my cell 304 542 5823.

Anyway, theres my thousand words, and here are some pics (cell phone quality sorry). I have a cell phone video of it running too if anyone wants i can email it to them, you can watch it with quicktime, but you have to make it real small to see it. lets you hear how it sounds tho (not too good with no muffler, but still a nice 900rpm idle).

Thanks for looking

Pat
