FS: 84 GSL-SE in San Mateo, CA: $2750
#1
1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE
169,500 miles
Sunroof
5 speed
Power windows
Cruise control
Registered last month for another year, and smog cert still valid.
The GSL-SE comes with these enhancements over the standard models:
13B fuel injected motor (135hp/133tq)
4 wheel disk brakes
Limited slip differential
Title in hand, passed smog easily August 18, 2007 with receipt included. This smog test is valid for 90 days, or until approx November 15th 2007. Every project car I buy is sold in better condition than when I bought it. When I bought this car it had recent new tires (still look new), brakes, fuel pulsation dampener, battery, and idler arm.
I have over $1200 in receipts for the following new items I have put into this car:
Spark plugs, cap, rotor, air filter
Radiator and radiator cap
Thermostat and gasket
ALL new water hoses under hood
Pedal pads
Rear hatch shocks
Front wiper blades
Gas cap
Passenger side window runner, inner and outer moldings
Passenger side window regulator
Oil metering pump seals/o-rings
Oil filter pedestal o-rings
Hood rod clip
Inside door handle cups
Inside door lock trim
Door panel clips
Upper windshield molding
Gearshift bushing
The interior condition is probably the best feature of this car as the pics show. The exterior is decent, no major dents but some dings here and there. The paint has plenty of oxidation on hood and a small bit on roof. I gave the exterior two complete wax jobs to clean up the paint a bit. The engine runs fine and revs easily. The clutch feels good and is tight also. The drivers seat adjuster is broken off, so the seat cannot be adjusted front to back without removing it. When I did the interior overhaul I adjusted the seat for my own preference. I want this car to go to someone specifically interested in RX7/rotary engines.
The bad: This car will need a clutch at some point in the next year, the throwout bearing is making noise. If I put a clutch in it myself, I will keep it. It still drives and shifts perfectly as you will see if you test drive it.
$2750 or make an offer, I will sell with a full tank of gas as a bonus.

Price is down to $2500 automatically for anyone local also.
This is on ebay now, you know how to find it. Reserve is less than my offer here. Unfortunately, this is for pickup in person only, cash or paypal.
If it doesnt sell I will put a tranny and clutch in it to really make drive real quiet, and I'll keep it a year or two. I just got a decent quote of $1550 for all that work.

hmm no interest.. The miles too high for this GSL-SE for any interest? Or the cost itself? Curious, but I know I'm just gonna have to keep it.
