[quote name='rowtareh' date='Jul 3 2005, 06:34 AM']Hey, I dig that car, that thing is hotness. I am looking for a FB with your type of setup. I would buy yours, but I want that feeling that I did most of the work myself.

I would LOVE to pick that thing up from you, but I won't have the money until August 15th.

Thanks

Justin

I know what you mean about "that feeling", because I have done all of this work myself, and I mean every bit of it. Due to set backs over the past few days, I am just now about to go out and do the final wet sanding, and I will spray the fresh paint either later tonight, or first thing in the morning. I am in no hurry to sell the car, so it may still be available by mid-August. Of course, if you're still interested. The car runs great! I would not even hesitate to make the drive to deliver it to you in Maryland, due to the mechanical soundness of the whole car. If you are interested next month, we can arrange to meet, I have no problem driving a little ways. I am also in the transportation business, so I may be able to hook you up on a delivery. I will post more pics after the new paint. I will be updating the cardomain page soon with more thorough details about the car. What's listed on cardomain now is just a brief list of the main goodies.

That sounds like a really good deal. Would you be keeping the price at 5k once the paint is done? I think the silver is hot on an FB, but what is it being painted now?

I would be VERY interested if you still have the car by mid-August. I have a wrangler right now, but I still have the rotary addiction. I need an RX-7 BADLY! Too many people talk craph about rotaries around here. They are not fast, they suck. Blah blah.

I will wait for the pictures of the new paint.

Thanks

Justin

Yes the price will remain @ $5K with the new paint. The silver that you see in the current pics are not the original silver. The original silver was just badly oxidized, but the body was pretty straight, really straight for a 22 year old car. I going back with the original silver (moonbeam silver or sunbeam, something like that). I wanted $4500 without the paint and there were no takers locally. I had a friend give me a "buddy deal" on the paint and did a horrible job. Very uneven coating, lots of fuzz. Plus, I didn't like the silver that I chose. I wanted a brighter silver, but the new color just didn't look right to me. I like the original color better. And, this afternoon, it will be back to the original color.

I also have a '97 Expedition 4x4 Eddie Bauer and a Ducati 916 for sale if anyone knows anyone interested.

This sounds like a really good deal. Another question, sorry. Is this setup street legal? I think it would be street legal without the NOS setup in Maryland, because it is a historic/vintage car.

Thanks

It's street legal here in Alabama, but then again, what isn't here??? I have a friend going through some military training in Baltimore and he says there are lots of folks up there that talk a bunch of smack about the Hondas and stuff, but when he mentioned RX7...they shut up. Back to the questions though, street legal....the car has no emissions, and I would guess, it would be considered and "off-road" vehicle....meaning for racing only. The car has a clean title, which is in my possession. Any other questions, just hit me back.

130,834 miles on chassis as of this very moment. New paint turned out very good. Now just have to wet sand and spray the clear.

It will probably be Saturday before I take more photos. Spraying the clear Thursday night...curing until Saturday morning, then gonna tape off and spray the window molding with a fresh coat of black. Then, it will be press release time, lol.
