Default 1989 RX-7 GTU Not running. Las Vegas, NV

My wife's 89 "7" GTU died. I don't have the time nor money at the moment to work on it, so someone can get a decent deal. It's in Las Vegas, NV. Priced at $1500. You pick it up, or arrange shipping. Inspections welcome. Clear title ready to be signed over.

It is a 1989 RX-7 GTU, 13b N/A, with the N4A-EL 4 spd automatic transmission. Base model with power mirrors, sunroof and factory alarm. Redone in pale yellow paint a few years ago. (originally red, but wife wanted the color change) Interior black/gray.

The good:
Straight body with no rust. No rust on undersides. (Never wrecked, CA/NV car.)

All glass perfect.

Bra, to protect the nose paint from the normal local sand/dust conditions. (no front plate hanger, so has holes to mount a front plate to the contours of the front bumper through the bra.)

Pirelli 205/60/15 tires speed rated for 145 mph on after market 15" rims.

Interior is very good and complete. Has the locking storage compartments behind the seats. All carpeting and headliner are good. Has a carpet style dash cover to protect the dash from cracking. (I've never removed it, so don't know if there were any cracks before it was put on.) All switches and electronics modules work as designed. Hatchback struts hold the hatch up.

All lights work and the headlight retractors both work like new. It's an 89, so has the much sought after tail light assemblies with the round lights. (In perfect condition)

Good condition suspension and exhaust are stock.

The bad:
She started it one day and it ran for a few minutes then stopped. Hasn't started since, even with a shot of starting fluid. (cranks with no grinding noises, but doesn't fire) Could be as simple as lost its spark, But I suspect it is an iapex seal problem . All fluids were at correct levels. It had passed smog every year since we bought it. (NV is as bad as CA about smog inspections!)

For those who are really good with rotaries: When you come to get it, if you can get it to run, I'll still let you have it for the non running price. Do not come by and if you can't get it to run decide you don't want it. (already had a clown waste my time by doing that.) Come prepared to pay and haul it away and if it will start, consider it that you got a better deal.

Other bad:
The passenger door doesn't open from the inside. (probably a broken plastic clip or two on the connecting rods in the door.)

The radio died some time back.

Someone tried to add aftermarket cruise control before I bought it. My guess is that it has an insufficient vacuum source to operate correctly. All parts are there, but since it was never used for out of town trips, I never played with it to make it work.

The plastic around the floor shift lever has some broken pieces.

The driver side shoulder belt retractor above the door works when it feels like it.

Driver's seat has a seam splitting on the door side edge of the seat back from large people trying to slide into the low driver's seat.

I think I covered everything, but I can answer any questions you might have.

This would be a great candidate for someone who has the time to work on it, or has a wrecked, or rusted rotary that needs a a good body.

I'd like to find it a good home, but if I don't, it will sit until I have the time and money to work on it.
