I have for sale a 1988 Mazda RX7 Turbo 10th Anniversary Edition. This has been a project car of mine that I no longer have time for. The body of the car is in fair condition as far as damage goes. There are dings on the door and a dime size rust spot on each rear fender area as well as some small surface rust around the edges of the sunroof. The car does however need painting. Most of the paint has flaked off and the hood is completely stripped down. The front bumper does not fit on all the way due to a front mount intercooler and the rear bumper has a small crack near the muffler outlet. The "flash to pass" lenses are also off the front bumper but I do have them.



The interior of the car is also in fair condition. The dashboard is free of cracks and damage. The carpet and door panels are in good shape, with some scratch around the handles. The seats are starting to crack as the leather is 17 years old. The passenger side seat is starting to tear on the bottom and has a rip around the headrest. It has an Alpine CD player but the front speakers I believe are blown. I also have installed a dual gauge pod with a Boost/Vacuum Gauge and Air/Fuel Gauge. The A/F Gauge is not currently wired in. Also the wiper switch is malfunctioning and only the regular speed works and the passenger side window switch does not work.



The engine is a rebuilt unit from Rotary Warehouse. It was rebuilt with a street port and uses 3rd Gen corner seals with Hurley 2mm Apex seals. The engine has approx 50 miles on it. The rotor housings are painted blue. The current modifications include an Hks MegaFlow air filter leading into a brand new Borg Warner T04b turbo with a .60 inlet and a 1.15 exhaust housing. The turbo is attached using a HKS Cast Manifold with an HKS Standard External Wastegate with a 9.8 psi spring. The exhaust is a custom 3" downpipe attached with a V-band coupling. The downpipe leads to dual 2.5 inch pipes with magnaflow mufflers. The air charge is cooled using a Greddy V-spec Front Mount Intercooler and piping with a HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve. Fuel comes from a Nippon Denso Competition Fuel Pump. The emissions vacuum spider has been removed so fuel flows through custom lines to a Series 5 primary fuel rail. The primary injectors are remanufactured Nippon Denso 550cc units and the secondary injectors come from Precision Turbo and are rated at 1000cc. Engine Management is handled by a Microtech Lt-8 system with integrated Map sensor and laptop software. The unit is located in the glove box.



Power is delivered through a Racing Beat lightweight steel flywheel and street/strip clutch. The transmission shifts smooth with no grinding and I recently replaced some of the worn shift rods inside. The car sits on 4 new Kumho Ecsta 712 tires. Cooling system has been upgraded to a Koyo Radiator and Electric Fan. Racing Beat Braided steel oil lines flow to the factory oil cooler. Also has braided clutch line and oil feed and return lines for the turbo.



All Emissions have been removed and properly blocked off. The power steering and air conditioning have also been removed. I swapped for a manual steering rack. I did not just remove the pump. All vacuum hoses have been replaced with silicone hoses. New parts include tie rod ends, clutch master and slave cylinder, coolant temp sensor, and throttle position sensor. The battery is an Optima Red Top and is located in the bin behind the drivers seat. There is also a bung in the exhaust for a wideband O2 sensor.



All in all, this car is driveable but does need some finishing touches and painting. It is now tuned for 8 psi with no controller. Dynoed at 160 whp at 7-8 psi and 245 at approx 10-11 psi. estimated around 300 whp at 14 psi. Car is sold AS IS. There is approx 150 miles on the engine and under 300 miles on all other performance and replacement parts. I have tried to describe the vehicle with as much detail as I can think of. thats rather insulting to the seller, his car is worth a lot more then $1000, most of the junkers on here are worth more then $1000 for gods sake.
