Selling my extra project......

1985 RX-7 GSL-SE.......getting more rare every day.......

This is the sporty model of the FB's......Mazda wasn't playing around.

Body is in great shape....Silver paint job isn't the most elegant but it gets the job done. It has a huge sunroof and no dents or dings that I have found.

I bought this car in St. Louis and immediately started working on it. I yanked the old and tired engine out and put in a 13b 6 port engine with mild porting done to it and only 20,000 miles. Also put a Racing Beat header on it, a Dellorto sidedraft 48mm carb, new fuel press. regulator, stainless oil cooler lines, and removed all the AC and smog equipment. The 5 speed tranny has no grinds and the clutch holds perfect....l inspected everything when i did the motor swap. It has a 3 row radiator in it and never even thinks about getting more than warm.

This car can fly......gets completely sideways in second gear without effort......

Suspension on this car is amazing.....Mazda did this car right with a 4 link setup in the back, limited slip rear end, and disc brakes all around. This car handles as good as my Audi and still has a comfortable ride.

The interior is perfect except for 1 cig burn and the radio doesn't work. Other than that it is like brand new....no cracks in the dash, door panels are good, etc.

I have a ton of extra parts for the buyer.....2 transmissions, 2 doors with glass and mirrors, 2 shifer assemblies, 2 driveshafts, altenators, intakes, all kinds of stuff.

Issues:

The exhaust has a leak...nothing major.

There is no smog equip. on this car......no cats, no smog pump, etc.

Cig burn in driver seat..see pic

I haven't checked the brakes out personally but they fell great.

The starter needs a solenoid....works fine but sometimes you have to try it a couple times.

The dellorto carb is running slightly rich......lots of idling will make it load up a little but the car doesn't die or anything..

This is a fun project car....all AC was removed....just more weight..

I have about $3000 in this car and 100's of hours of sweat....asking $2500 or best offer.

pics...

This is not an actual picture of this cars engine bay.....but it looks the same.....so you can get an idea of the side draft carb.....
