Do you think that you will be making a more mild street port? In reading your other posts, I know that Judge Ito doesn't do mild. I'm just going to be tearing my engine down again probably within the next month or so, and would like to try porting it this time. However, I'm concerned more with reliability than power. How long would you expect an engine to last with this type of port? I don't want to have to tear it down every year, as this is my daily driver for the most part.

you will never have to tear it down just because of that streetport, if anythign it will be more reliable.

More reliable than with the stock porting? It seemed to me, from what I've read, that a large street port such as this puts much more stress on the corner seals. Is this not the case?

this street port that ito showed is large but it is still small enouf so teh side seal rides on the plate at all times. the corner seals insert will be MOSTLY exposed but if you get the solid corner seal you wont have a problem of having teh corner seal insert comming out. you can even leave out the insert and use regular corner seals.

I had a chance to talk to the machine shop that took on the job to duplicate the templates for me. He told me that 2 custom dies had to be made to stamp out the port design. no more then a weeks time left. I will only have 30 made and see how they sell. So who ever is really interested needs to make sure they get a hold of me. Before the first batch runs out.

Well I already have regular corner seals. Maybe I'll try leaving out the inserts.

I will probably be interested in your porting template, Judge Ito. I will let you know soon. Out of curiousity, what do you charge for porting? This will be my first attempt at it, and I don't have a die grinder. So I will have to buy one, some carbide bits, and some junk irons to practice on.
