Nifty... I did my own home-made first-ever street port and my measurement there was 11.5 mm. I didn't quite realize until AFTER I assembled the shortblock that it was cutting it REALLY close on those soft seals. I looked inside with a mirror and saw that they were barely supported at all. I figured worst case, they're -soft- and could fall out and get chewed up... probably not going to break anything
The motor has been fine for the last 1.5 years and has made over 400 rwhp at 15 PSI on a T04S so I figure that it's doing OK hehehe. I wonder if my soft seals are still in there or not hahaha.

Isn't there a risk of the soft corner seal falling in there? What about a risk of the bottom half of a stock 3 piece seal falling in there?
You'll have to run 2-piece seals no matter what; 3 piece seals are no longer available.
