Chances are yes... Unless you cut out the back of it and weld in a new piece of aluminum with a single hole for the larger diameter airfilter... Anything can be done!

Yea, I guess you could rig it up.. or just break down and sell the box.. but there should be no issues with the smic, right?

Nope. The SMIC is fine. You may experience a bit of heatsoak in traffic... But you can either heatsoak the SMIC, or block some airflow to the radiator with a FMIC.. It's only a few degrees difference whatever way you look at it.



I'm just not ready to hack up my front bumper yet... that's all. And I think a SMIC is fine for lower HP applications... Like me with the twins..

Yea, that's probably the main thing that's keeping me from going to fmic.. hacking my bumper up.. and you're righty, a smice should be just fine..

HOWEVER... The HKS FMIC requires no cutting of the bumper...
