I have one in NY that doesn't go into reverse. What makes you think you need a transmisison?

HA HA that's no help. 4th gear, under acceleration at about 4K it starts going CHUNK, CHUNK, CHUNK. Does it in third as well, never in 1 or 2 and never in 5.



I think when the ran it without the pilot bearing they fuckd something up.

Have you tried a rebuilder to see what they will charge? Be nice to have something done right with a warranty to boot instead of putting in another time bomb ?

Problem is this bitch ain't rebuildable, I don't want a tranny with a hole in the bell housing, otherwise I would just go through it myself.
