Brand new set of four (4) GAB Super R shocks in the original factory packaging. I purchased this set of shocks a few years ago with the intent of using them with M2's coil-over kit. This never happened.

In my opinion, the GAB Super R is one of the best shocks ever made for the third generation RX-7. A lot of the "old school" RX-7 guys like Max Cooper had them. I know Pettit and M2 loved / loves them and PFSupercars used them a lot.

They are eight-stage adjustable. Two-way I believe. Probably the ultimate stock class shock for solo / autocrossing. The ride is definitely "sporty."

$750.00 plus shipping.

Unbiased opinions...

Taken from Sport Compact Car...

At first glance, it's obvious the GAB Super R double-adjustable shocks (see dyno on page 274), with their generous rebound damping characteristics, were designed with stiff springs in mind. This was one reason we opted for these shocks on our slightly lowered and very stiffly sprung project car. Another advantage of the GAB shocks is their nice, evenly spaced range of adjustments which makes suspension tuning less guesswork and far more intuitive.

Also adding to the GAB's impeccably sporty flavor is its abundant low-speed damping, which results in razor-sharp turn-in, reduced pitch, dive and roll, as well as super-quick steering response. The downside? Check out that medium- to high-speed compression damping. Yikes. Not exactly the most suitable shock for rough road commuting, is it?

Taken from the Mazda Motorsports catalogue...

GAB Gas Shocks and Strut replacements provide easy external adjustability. GAB Shocks offer 8-stage adjustability, while the gas strut replacements have 4-stage adjustability. Rebound and compression valving adjust simultaneously for each setting. GAB has recently announced the availability of “SUPER R” shocks and strut replacements for the 1986-91 and 1993-95 RX7. The “SUPER R” is recommended for racing and solo/autocross use only, providing more aggressive valving.
