they make replacement plates. That is part of the reason 225. Also the pics make it look a little worse than what it is

The replacement plates cost $600.



Take both plates. Put one on top of the other. Then flip the top one over and set it back on top of the second. If the difference is the same, or they both lie flat, then the disks do not need to be replaced. If they curve, you need to replace the disks.



With the OS Giken twin plate clutches, the clutch disks will never wear down to the rivets. They'll get pretty low, but they'll start slipping way before you need to replace them. Sometimes, you can get away with just replacing the disks...sometimes.



I had to replace everything i.e. 2 X disks/2 X plates/8 X allenbolts. I got pretty much a new clutch except for the bird cage and the flywheel.



Words of warning when installing the removing the old allenbolts...they WILL strip. To prevent this from happening, put the allen head in and then take a pair of vice grips and put them over the allen head bolt and clamp it down. Doing this prevents the allen head from expanding the inside of the bolt and causing it to strip.
