5one5 Innovations is now up and running. For those of you who don't frequent the evil forum I'll let you know a bit about us. 5one5 is a small shop that specialises in custom fiberglass and carbon fiber parts for the FC. We make parts for other cars, but no other rotary cars as of yet. Here is a list of products that we have available:
Triple gauge pod to replace the idiot light cluster - This pod will hold 52mm or 60mm gauges and is made of fiberglass. The gauges are angled towards the driver for good visibility. All pods come gel coated black ready for use or you can sand it with some fine grit, primer, and paint it whatever color you like. $85 shipped Single gauge pod to replace the driver's door vent - This pod will hold 52mm or 60mm gauges and is made out of fiberglass as well. The gauge is angled towards the driver for good visibility. All pods come gel coated black ready for use or you can sand it with some fine grit, primer, and paint it whatever color you like. $65 shipped Lightweight fiberglass sunroof - This is a direct bolt in replacement for the factory sunroof. You will only need to transfer the clip holders and weather stripping off of your stock sunroof to use ours. We supply the hardware. This panel weighs in at 3.5 pounds vs. a touch over 10 pounds for the stock piece. Best of all, this panel will never rust like the stock one does. The 5one5 sunroof has identical bracing to the stock panel to ensure strength. Extensive testing has been completed on this panel and no buffetting was present at speeds up to 100mph!(It would've been tested faster, but I didn't feel like taking a chance with the local cops. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR ) All sunroofs will come light grey primered and ready for paint. $300 shipped Also soon to come will be a reverse vented hood. There has been a huge demand for a quality vented hood for the FC that won't break your bank. Well, we have the answer for you!! The prototype hood will be finished and ready for molding this week. As soon as it is primered and ready for molding, I will get pictures of it and post them on here. So if you are looking for a great reverse vented hood for your FC then keep an eye on this thread for more updates. The price is estimated to be $650 shipped, but that is not firm yet. How about a lightweight hatch with lexan rear window?

Actually, we are looking at doing a lightweight rear hatch. The only problem I see is this. Is a lexan rear window street legal or would it only be good for track use only cars? I would say that this is something we'll surely be interested in.
Now keep in mind that if you want something I haven't mentioned and/or don't make, we can make anything you want. We will do an estimate and ask for a non-refundable 50% deposit up front. Here are two low res pictures of the prototype hood. The lip on the front of the vents isn't shaped up or anything. The vents themselves are the only thing that you can clearly see, but at least it will give you a good idea of the vent layout on the hood. Hopefully that is what you were talking about Bone. If not then let me know what you have in mind.

how about a carbon fiber trunk lid for a 1990 convertable rx7? what would somthing like that cost? its a little bigger than a large pizza box id be very interested!!!!!!!!!

sounds great iknow a few people with convertables in this area and in florida. whats the price range, how long is the process, and how do i contact you? the good news is that i just got sponsored so im going to do alot of shows and get togethers which means thats even better advertising for you guys.

Ooh nice, will that sunroof keep out rain? I assume it would with the stock stripping. I'll probably HAVE to get one eventually,but for now i'm gonna hope mine holds out.

Rotarychainsaw, our sunroof panel keeps out rain just like the stock one does. Well just like the stock one does when it's not rusted through. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png But in all seriousness, our sunroof is a direct fit replacement. The only difference you'll notice from the stock steel piece and ours is how much lighter ours is.

i cant seem to get in contact with anyone at the moment, i'll keep trying but how about i post somthing on 2nd gen specific about it. couldnt hurt maybe if theres enough people we can do a group buy or somthing? i would like to be the first satisfied customer if everything works out. lol

If you can get a group buy going and people don't have a problem putting down deposits then yeah, it's ok with us. I'll talk to you some more after I get some firm details on price and wait time until they'd be ready.

intrested in FC hood..how much for one? Also a cover for the warning light pannel. I know you have one the fits gauges but I need one that covers it.

The cost of the hood isn't final as of yet. I'll have a final shipped price by the end of this week at the very latest. And we only make a gauge pod to replace the idiot light cluster, but let me see what I can do. I'm guessing you'd want it to be a flat panel that bent up to follow the shape of the dash right?

I don't have any money for car parts right now, but I'm just curious: What's the smaller vent for in the hood? The placement of it looks like it should have some specific purpose, but I'm not sure what that is.

We put the smaller vent on the hood so that there would be a bit of added heat relief over the turbo/exhaust mani area. It is nothing major, but every little bit helps. One thing with all of our products is that you'll never see something on a product that serves no functional purpose. What do you think of the hood by the way? Anything that we make in fiberglass we can also make in CF. (With the exception of the single gauge door pod) We just offer the fiberglass parts first because of the cost difference. The cost of high quality CF has really gone up as of late. And we refuse to use anything other than the highest quality materials. The hoods are selling for $750 shipped. I know this seems a bit expensive however... If you compare the cost of our hood versus the shipped cost for any other hood of the same quality on the market you'll see that we are at least $200 under our nearest competitor. I don't have a firm price on the trunk lids as of yet. But I can promise that I'm trying to keep the price as low as I can while still turning a bit of a profit. And the more people you/we can get in on this the cheaper the trunk lids will be. So let me know how many people you can get up. Also, after we figure out a firm price point then we will start accepting deposits. With something like this, we won't start making them without 50% deposits up front.
