I would recommend pursuing a type of "patent". I would recommend contacting Kevin T. Wyum (on the RX7club forum), since he has experience w/ producing a product (his intercooler design), and essentially licensing the product out to vendors (such as M2). I spoke to him about this type of protection in the past, and he briefly mentioned that there are many types of protection available, not necessarily limited to just patents.



Unfortunately, he didn't tell me much more than that. But it was interesting.

Do you happen to have a list of the forum members who have secured a template? I think that would calm a lot of frustration. I, like Indian and others, have my engine torn down and cleaned. The porting is all I'm waiting on, so I understand how they feel. Everyone might feel better knowing that they're covered.
