Hey guys I have more panels made after selling completely out before. All panels are ready to ship. A little info on these panels. These panels fit all 2nd gens that were not originally equipped with a factory CD player except for 89-91 cars. They will hold (2 or 3) 2 1/16” gauges along with a single DIN aftermarket head unit. It is made out of 20 gauge 304 Stainless Steel. This is not your everyday back yard made panel. All of the panels are made using computer controlled punch and press brakes for an exact fit. They mount using factory mounting points so no drilling or any type of modifications need to be made to your car. They can very easily be painted if thats what you would like to do. I am now also offering a panel just to hold the stereo. Use the extra area to mount a turbo timer, boost controller etc etc..... They are in very limited quanities.

For reference please visit my other thread for the comments that others have left reguarding these panels. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=385317 Many people can vouch for my service and quality of the panels.

If you would like to purchase one. They are $53 shipped within the states or abroad. Paypal can be sent to BrianS2@ptdprolog.net I ship everyday so your order will go out that very same day if not the the very next day depending on when I receive your order.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian,

What happened with the dual headlights pods? Do you still have the originals?

jackboots 04-11-2005 10:39 AM

Know what I think would be sweet? A gauge pod that sits in the space where the idiot light cluster is. Kinda like the STi one. I dunno. I'll probably buy one of these from you, 1 fast T2....eventually.

Yes I still have plenty, and yes it does replace the plastic that the stereo accually mount to. No more plastic to break.

I no longer have the originals. However I do still have the drawings I used to make the first set that was used on my 7. I never really went ahead with the project because of the cost of the lights and everything else that needed to be purchased to make it a complete kit.

jackboots 04-12-2005 01:48 PM

1FastT2 - can you make an idiot light pod like the one pictured, but not so roundy? I like the hard lines of the TII and that pod seems too modern.

Unfortunately sheetmetal isnt really easy to make contoured shapes like the area around the idiot light. I would almost have to have something tooled and then pressed into shape, and for that to be done would cost ALOT of $$$

jackboots 04-13-2005 10:15 AM

Well what about something simple like this:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../gaugepod1.jpg

crappy drawing, but that's what 5 minutes in Paint will do.

I don't want anything elaborate or contoured, just functional.

how much would something like that run?

blue_87_gxl 04-14-2005 08:22 AM

Cheers! 04-15-2005 05:01 PM

Brian,

Can you make me a custom version of your gauge panel?

Specs:

-3 gauges on the top

-stereo cut out of 132 mm x 55 mm (on centre)

I'm willing to prepay before you make this panel, and i'm willing to pay extra for this. Can you accomedate me? Btw those dimensions will allow mounting of an avcr or safc into that spot.

1FastT2 04-15-2005 05:05 PM

Let me see what I can do, I have to see my shops schedule and Ill let you know.

something like this gif file i have attached. Let me know what the rough cost would be to make such a panel. There are limits to "I'm willing to pay more" statement...

Well unless you can find about 10 people to buy these the price is going to be $70 shipped. Just due to the fact of all the machine setup time that has to be performed just to do one panel. Now if you can find 10 or so people I can make them for the same price as I do the others.

Trust me, I'd love to take your money I just don't want to have you waiting forever if I can't make it in a reasonable time.

I love the STi almost as much as I loved the Rx-7, thanks for asking.

Dysfnctnl85 04-22-2005 06:47 AM

What are the measurements for this piece?

I'm looking for something like this for my FB project, but I'm not sure what size (it looks to be double-DIN, but I dunno) stereo it's supposed to hold because I don't have one.

cdaleracer669 04-23-2005 12:18 AM

They will hold (2 or 3) 2 1/16” gauges along with a single DIN aftermarket head unit

i duno if u were asking what these held, or what your car has, but there ya go^^^

Oh yeah. There are wires and things all over the place because I am currently in the process of upgrading the stereo.
