20B For Sale
#1
Hey guys-
I am a rotary newb from So. Cal with a 20B for sale. This engine was purchased by a friend of mine in the front clip of a Cosmo. Because it is a JDM clip, I know nothing about its history. Since I bought it, I lost contact with my friend, so more recent history is pretty much non-existent. I know it has run in the not so distant past, and that is the extent of my knowledge. I do know it is the older gen and the number on the casing is B789 if that helps. It comes with the factory ecu, cut-up harness, radiator, coil/ignition packs, original downpipe/cat, oilcooler with fan, 2 random air-to-air intercoolers, and any other random parts labeled MAZDA lying around our shop. Our plan was to put the engine into a Porsche 914, but it was decided this was not the engine for the job. Because of this, the 20B has a Kennedy Engineered Products Stage 2 clutch and adapter plate on it. You can have it or I can try to sell it separately.. Your call.
So because I know nothing about this engine, don’t bother asking intense questions. Odds are, you will only get a blank stare in return.. Sorry… The engine and all its glory is located in Santa Ana.
As far as price goes, make an offer. I’ve seen these puppies bring in anything from $2,000 to $4,500. Is that about right…?
