I built an engine for my FC a few years back but wound up having to get rid of my car due to a messy divorce before the engine was installed. I had the engine in my storage with the hopes of getting a new car to put it in but life goes on. I am married once again, and now I have a kid so I won't be getting an RX7 any time soon. I am posting the engine here in the hopes that one of you will be able to put it to good use.



It is a 13B built using an Atkins Rotary Rebuild Kit (New Apex Seals - Stock Size, Apex Seal Springs, Side Corner Seals and Plugs, Corner Seal Springs, Side Seals, Oil O Ring Vitons, Seals, and Springs, Front and Ream Main Seal, Pilot Bearing and Seal, and Bearings).



This rebuild kit alone cost me almost $900.00 from Atkins.



The aluminum housings and rotors were cleaned and measured to make sure they were in spec. The rear rotor was replaced with a good used one in spec.



The steel housings were cleaned and painted.



The rotors, eccentric shaft, and inside of the housings were coated with assembly lube so the engine would be properly lubricated when first turned on.



The engine has been turned a number of times since the rebuild and it turns freely, there is compression coming from the spark plug holes, and there is no binding or strange noises of any kind.



The engine has not been installed, tested, or run. It is being sold as is, with no warranty. I have priced it accordingly.





Note: This is for the ENGINE BLOCK alone. No oil pan, intake, oil metering pump/lines, flywheel, or distributor, etc. is included. Please see the pictures to see what is included. You have to use the parts off your own engine.



I am selling the engine for $400.00. The parts in the rebuild kit alone are worth much more than the $400 I am asking.

I wish I could ship it but it would be a pain in the a$$ for me to ship. I'm thinking about putting together another RX7 around this engine this spring. The landlord gave me permission to use the driveway.

was it stored like that... ports and openings uncovered...

 

 

It was (and is once again) wrapped in plastic. Ports are all covered. And it is inside a shed. I took it out and unwrapped it to take the pictures.
