Rotorfest Will Not Die...
Although we had some bad apples spoil some of the fun from this event, we will bring it back, next year. I have some things in the works right now, and I will fill you all in later on what I am planning, but if it is within my power, there will be another rotorfest. I promise
Jay, not trying to take the reins from you just yet, just stepping up in case you truly feel that this is beyond your intrests.

if there are any interest in havin an autox at the next event...
ill coordinate and provide for the means to get it done..
timer.. cones.. etc..
although would somewhat be concerned as it requires volunteers to participate not only as competitiors but as corner workers..
considering the responsibility shown with this last event...

If you wnat and auto-x event at the next Rotorfest, this is my suggestion to get the show promoter off the hook for insurance and scoring.
What seems to work around here is that a local car club will find a local auto-x club. Then the car club will sponsor a auto-x event and the car club members will run in the first 2 heats, followed by an open field to fill the rest of the spots that make $$ for the auto-x club. Reduced price for car club members, and full price for non-members. The auto-x club has all the equipment and usually knows which parking lots they can run in and already have relationships with parking lot owners and carry the correct kind of insurance for the event.
Might be worth checking out a local auto-x club.
No matter, I still had a great time at the 2004 event.
