Wondering what is the prefered hotel of the bunch? I saw the list of places and noticed the closest was 9 miles. I want to book with the hotel that will house the most 7 owners, as it would obviously be best to be around/party with fellow rotorheads?

The one we stayed at last year was pretty sweet. I think it was the hilton. It was like $110 a night though.

See Justin, That's the problem I think with most of the "motels" listed. Up there it's like the woods. nothing around for miles, but trees and farms So alot of the motels are little dinky places. I'm going to find the closest "real" hotel, that is easy to get to and is not out of the way for anyone

I think Id prefer a normal hotel, holiday inn, super 8 etc. Paying $110U.S is a little steep for me. It has to be one that id feel safe leaving my 7 at also. There should be a place that most people went to last year, or do you not get many peeps from out of state?

It looks like the average is 16-20 miles away for the hotels/motels.

This one is a reputal name and is 17 miles away. A hotel and not a motel so thats good. Is that to far(not to good with miles being a kilometer guy)? Or do we want a bit of a distance to have a nice drive to the park?

17 miles is about a 15-20 min drive, going the speed limits.

This is the first year rotorfest is held at the new location, everyone that came from out of stste the previous years stayed at a good hotel which happened to be only 5 miles away. I'm working on the hotel thing.
