Does anyone think it's a good idea to put a rotary engine in a mx3 or mx6 instead of buying a rx-7.

It may work but you would need to convert to RWD instead of the FWD setup. I have a Mitisbishi cordia I have been considering doing the rotary swap to. Check out the "Other cars" part of the forum and look into the one thread about Cordia's. It has a few ideas there. I know members will have more to contribute to this.
