okonomiyaki, yakitori and tempura, the best. And a tall glass of asahi, ok make it 2 glasses of asahi. hm, hmm, good.

And the vending machines. Everywhere selling anything and everything.

Pachinko's looked fun. And all those guys in suits at the arcades. The subways, clean as hell. Theyre cleaner than the one in new york the night before it opened. hai, hai.

I wished I had seen more RX7s, though. I think I saw more ferraris than FDs.

Next time, I might even see if I can hook up with someone to watch some street races.

Man, th emore I think about it the more i want to go. Plus I hear they pay pretty good to english teachers.

Whats tha JET program? Does it have to do with school?

Yea, didn't see a whole shitload of Fd's, but I saw a few. Some Fc's and Miata roadsters, but no 1st gens. I did get to ride in some guys Sylvia. I don't know very much about the Sylvia's, if they are fast or not, but he had 5 pt. harnesses on his seats and when he got on it, it seemed pretty quick.

I think English teachers over there can make some big bucks, but the JET people don't make very much. JET stands for "Japanese Exchange & Teaching" program. It is sponsored by the ministry of foreign affairs to promote cultural awareness between Japan and other countries. They offer two types of jobs to foreigners: you can help out teaching English in high schools, or you can be some sort of an assistant in a cities foreign relations department. Unfortunately you need a certain amount of proficiency in the Japanese language for the second position, and I am afraid I don't have that. The only qualification for the JET program is that you have a Bachelors degree and are under the age of 35. I was going to apply for the 2002 year, but ditched the idea last quarter because I was just too freaking busy with school.

Did you have any Takoyaki? Yummmmmm!

The vending machines really blew me away. A friend of mine over there said he saw one selling lingirae one time! Crazy.
