Opel Kadett-C

well the rx8 is so much fun. I missed rear wheel drive so much and getting sideways is so easy in this thing even with the traction control on. Don't even need the e-brake. I am looking at getting some little things for it. REVi intake system, rb exhaust and the eyebrows. Maybe JIC coilovers and some 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. Advan three spoke splits. with the falen azenis. I love those tires. get over here and port my motor already.

Port it? That car is going to have more than enough to deal with just by adding those couple of mods. I would advise you wait until there is a EEPROM burner out for that thing.
But you are definitely describing a nice setup there.

hey sarge hows it been? car looks great. whenever you come back you need to stop by my house so you can see the anglia(s)...and maybe by then the opel GT my dad just picked up might be rotary powered as well...

Well, when I come back by there we might just have to talk about trading my rotary Kadett and some cash for one of those Anglias now won't we.
Things are just lovely over here for now. Office work, nice house, happy family and a running Rotary powered car. It just does not get any better. Say hi to the guys from me.

Well another little update on the car. It has been running AWESOME. Very little maintenance. (yes Judge I am changing the oil at regular intervals)
The newest project is the new stainless steel header. I am using 60mm tubing and elbows and I have learned to TIG weld. I am only redoing the header in a thicker material because the othe one was just too thin. 1.25mm mild steel. This made it vibrate and it was way too loud even with 2 mufflers on it. This 3mm stuff should work out a lot better and give it the low rumble it deserves. BTW I the dimensions are 31.6 inches (equal length primaries) into a 60mm pipe, Y pipe collector 2x60mm in and 60mm out. I did some research and this should enable me to have a better scavenging effect in the lower RPM range for better streetability as well as a tunning point of 9000 RPM for the track. 60mm will flow more than enough to support the HP I'm making.
Overall the car has been nothing but a pleasure to drive and the younger piston owners have learned to respect it. I'll post pics once the exhaust is completed.

Sorry for not posting up pics but I have been busy getting some parts. I just picked up my '91 Ford 8.8 differential and sent my Turbo II tranny to be rebuilt. I will be swapping in the 4 link kit in the next couple of months so I can't have the new driveshaft made yet. All of these parts have cost me just under $1200 so I'm really happy.
