"We didn't invest in the Renesis project for just one model. It will get into other Mazda cars," he told Autocar.

I find hope in this.... **** the rumors and the cartoon drawings. Maybe we'll get a glimpse of a real concept in Tokyo this fall like the articles say. Until then I'm not judging or bitchin. Worst case scenario, they never bring the 7 back and 50 years from now our cars are worth millions.

in my opinion, if they put out another rx7 it needs to resemble the original 3 generations in some way, it just isn't an rx7 if it doesn't....

As long as Ford has there hands in the Mazda pie I wouldn't expect great things from the rotary RX-8 or RX-7... They can't have that beat the Mustang you know... Its BS!

Now I saw a completely different new RX-7 photo last Summer... anyone have it?

Any CEO would not think this way. Rx7 makes them money same as a mustang. While there may be more pride for the CEO (my speculation) in the new mustangs. Any vehilce made by Mazda, i.e. RX7 would still make a profit for Ford if sales were to go well. So why would they want their sales to go poorly? I would assume that if the Ford Corp. CEO were to "ok" any plans to build a 4th incarnate Rx7. The plan would be to shoot for success. That's simple common sense.

Ford comparing the Stang to the RX-7 was a joke.. my joke. get it? I still don't think it'll ever be what it once was.. Not here anyway. take what I said above with a grain of salt

I actually like the RX-8 because its styling.. looks like nothing else out there, however my neighbor runs a Major Mazda dealer body shop and he said there not made very well at all. Outside the engine he said there junk as well as the EVO's. Off the topic I know. He did say the new STi or Subi in general is probably one of the best constructed cars on the market today... nice to know

I think Mazda should build a rear/mid engine RX-7 to somewhat resemble the Leman car.. Mazda could use the GT40 platform.. something to think about.

come on guys! think about this. If all we knew from the Rx7 was the FC and the FD body was on the drawing board we would all go, OMG! look at that thing its so round! Style changes, I love the Rx8 I think its hot!...I like my FD more but anything rotory is fun! I talked to some old mazda tech about a N/A rotory powerd miata was in the works for like...8 years. might be 100% BS i duno.

To me this is hot hot car!
