I just had my series IV RX7 kick the dust & was thinking maybe it is project time-thinking about doing a PISTON to ROTOR job...either MK1 Ford Escort or SR COUPE would be the ultimate dream-but whats another angle?

How about an old eighties Mazda GLC- it would be a complete sleeper! People would see this little (supposedly small four cyl.) econo-box whizzing down the road and not have any idea that the beast is a turbo-charged destroyer of of men's piston dreams! HAAA HAAA HAA AHHH AAAHH HAAA

OOPS, got carried away there...

Seriously though, those things are even lighter than most RX7's and are so simply constructed how could you go wrong?

What happened?? No one had any other ideas?? Where are you guys from?? My guesssomewhere in aussie, since youre talking about escorts and what not. cool.

So, rotamon, are you thinking of putting a piston engine in a rotary. Or a rotary in a piston engined car.

If its the latter, heres my idea of a good time.

Get a late 68 to 71 VW Beetle and stuff a turboed 12A or 13B, which ever is fine. With a nice quiet exhaust. no one will know what hit them. That would be the ultimate car, IMO.

treceb, me and my friend have spoken about that, but not Turbo. just an N/A 13B in a bug will be NASTY, imagine a T2 engine. lmao. Hmmmm...how much you think a project like that would be. :notify:

I actually know somebosy who's building one. I think he used a GSL SE suspension on it. He's got a 13BT in that's running 8 1600 cc injectors and alcohol!!! :wow:
