Jonathan
PMed you.... I am also interested in sourcing a nice 13B truck project that will be fun to drive as well as make some Home Depot runs that my RX7 cant quite cut https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
Judge Ito and Dan Atkins have done it. The one I listed for a friend was converted by a local shop. I didn't do any of the mechanical work. All I did was ignition. Any info I had about it was listed in the for sale thread some time ago.
It was sold back to the shop that converted it. It received a reupulstered seat and a few other subtle upgrades. It may be currently for sale again. |
To be honest I want this project to be as simple as possible.... if I can run the 13B old school.... no ECU no nothing except a carb, fuel pump, and ignition that would be great. My biggest concern is the motor mounts.... I have gathered from searching that I need to use the GSL-SE motor due to mounts located on the front housing. Just trying to gather up info to start sourcing parts... |
easiest way is to go old carb motor.. and those come with the engine mounts on the front cover.. so you just need to weld up a crossmember on the front to the frame. basically like an original repu had..
