This Vaz Lada 2110 car was prepared for Russian Supertouring Cars Championship or RSTCC for a few years at the end of 90's. The car was prepared by the works team and raced by works driver Boris Maslov. It used a Lada rotary engine like that fitted in the special version of VAZ cars for the Russian police and KGB.

any pics of the motor? I'm not familiar with a "lada" rotary.

Lada have a fairly long history using rotary engines IIRC.
