Have you looked into the engine adapter for the project. Kennedy engineered has some info on putting a rotary in a 914. Kennedy also machines the flywheels and makes heavy duty clutchs.I believe Kennedy also shows how to put a Chev V-8 in a 914. I've put a turbo rotary in my VW bases kit car and sure like the hp the turbo rotary makes. I also recommend the Haltech E6K(web site) computer. Its nice to have it run everything and be able to tune the car with a laptop(it also data logs engine operations.)

OK y'all I have an update on my project. I am having an engine custom built using '85 front cover, early low compression rotors w/3mm apex seals, late model housings, high flow oil pump, and stage II street porting. I'm going with the low compression rotors so I can add a T3 Turbonetics turbo later when I have the finances to build the plumbing for it. As for the adapter plate, I have decided on Kennedy over the other options. I had already upgraded the pressure plate, so mods won't be needed there until i throw the turbo in the mix.
Cheers all! Chris |

The T3 is going to choke the rotary. (a little too small, maybe)
