I thought I would share my project with you guys. First I picked up a solid 79 Datsun 510 off C/L with 78k on the clock it was running good and still is with the stock L20B but unfortunately even modified these motors are lucky to put out 135hp. Which led me to find and purchase a 85 12A swap to repower it. I had already planned on giving the 12A a rebuild and Bridgeport w/ a RB holley intake manifold and a holley 600 for a good N/A build with only expecting around 200hp if possible. Here is a couple pics of the car and the first iron I got done porting today.

 

I'm doing the same thing. Only I bought a 78' 510 wagon..
The Bridgeport 12a with a 600cfm carb should make more than 200hp. With a good tune it should be closer to 250.
But I have my eye on this, cause its cool to see someone doing the same project.
