Is a 4 rotor engine reliable? Because i getting a 94 fd3s soon and it going to be my weekend car.

Really reliable, they really like regular treatmens of duralube mixed 20:1 with in the tank, to date I have never seen a broken down 4 rotor Rx7 .. I would bet no one has on this forum..

 

what parts do need to make 4 rotor motor are there kit availiable

 

I think Kiwi and an Aussie shop both have a center plate and e shaft, sometimes one shows up on eBay too. But I don't get the impression you realize how a costly making a 4 rotor is. We're talking tens of thousands. The e-shaft alone could set you back 10k IIRC

 

yeap 10k just for the shaft

 

Plus isn't a 4 rotor inherently LESS reliable because of added e-shaft flex? All in all, I think answer to the OP is "No, and you probably can't afford it anyways"

 

Will a 4-rotor even fit in an FD?

 

There's an FD with 2 13Bs in sequence to make a "26B" so I'd imagine one 4 rotor keg would fit.
