apparently it there is a kit but ive never seen a picture. i think you basically have to build motor mounts and it goes right in. the miata tranny will work if you put a rotary bellhouing on it

on a similar note. Won't the 6 speed miata tranny fit in an FC? If so can it handle the power of a turbo?

I think someone very recently posted about a kit, which included a modified oil pan. But I'm pretty sure you'd have to modify either the oil pan (slimmer) or the tranny tunnel (make it higher). The rotary engine would sit too low in the engine bay, causing the oil pan to hit any bumps. Or so I've gathered.

Right, I think the tranny tunnel gets rebuilt on most conversions.

The problem is the output shaft of a rotary is in the middle of the engine , where as it's at the bottom of the piston engine, so everything is too high when bolted into the miata.

It's not a bolt in that's for sure. There is quite a bit of fab work involved.

Good luck.
