Apex seal was not broken, and that housing is not gouged. Mikey pointed out maybe it was reassembled like that? Rear rotor was new, housing had a tiny gouge from the last time it blew and was reused. Hmm..

8 psi of boost, .69 P trim On-center To4S, 3" exhaust system 20" long..

Gls-se rotors, compression has got to be past 9, looks like high 9s.

8 heat range spark plugs

and the killer, no IC or w/a injection DOH.

Oh yeah its carbed..

The 12A Turbo guys run 9.4 rotors and 12psi boost with no intercooling or water injection, no problems. Just keep your tune on the conservative side.

That's what those GSL-SE rotors are, if unmodified. 9.4:1.

Well come to think about it, those rotors must have been reused. I took off the downpipe and there is no damage to the exducer. I have yet to examine the inducer where damage usually is; but still I wouldn't think a chunk that big could get by the exducer...

Another hack job out of CA..

A different sandrail stopped by last week, 2 runs and the 8,000 motor blew....

These shops are charging SO much its unreal, and the only thing they know is how to due is make money.

I have to redue everything on this vehicle like all of them.

You were right again,

Found sand in the turbo inlet duct...

Still must be a combo of metal shavings/sand chewing that engine apart.

Well I trashed that whole thing, I noticed the smaller oil pump on that motor, didn't do the job for 8 psi...
