so its a stock port s5 na engine, straight from a junkyard. it still ran, the car's gone.



mods: fd oil pressure regulator, front fd oil pressure regulator spring. ran for about half a season with a haltech@9400rpms, and then another maybe 3/4 season with a stock ecu



condition: junk yard rotors, steels, e shaft, seals etc etc, good used rotor housings, compression is low but it still ran



so we pulled the rear housing, to get the oil pressure regulator, and we noted the following:



the rear stat gear bearing was showing heavy wear, e shaft was also worn pretty bad. side seals had lots of clearance, the fd oil pressure spring was broken. rotor housings look nice, steels look nice, rotors arent carboned up much. plugs came out looking really dark



just for the record, might grab some pics if it gets torn down further
