just wanted a few opinions on these ports here [attachment=42087:attachment] [attachment=42088:attachment] |
That is some crazy big ports.
A close up would be nice. I'm not even going to ask if they support the sideseals https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif Did You bevel ? |
hey im not sure aye i didnt do the porting, the engine they were in ran so im guessing that they made sure the side seals were supported,
heres a bit of a close up [attachment=42089:attachment] i was just lookin at doing a port similar to this on an n/a engine it supossibly made 160kw at the wheels |

The longer the bridge the thicker it needs to be. Lynn E. Hanover |
cheers for that bit of advice lynn

ive got another question which one of you more experianced people might know ,
now increasing the port size out to the side eg bridge/j-port increases you inlet and exhaust over lap/port opening time right. but what if say you had a bp and you moved it up more towards the top of you plate or to the bottom as shown in red [attachment=42109:attachment] vs [attachment=42110:attachment] what i want to know is how would ech one of these ports effect the engines characteristics would it **** the power band up down etc any insite would be much appriciated, |
That looks like a 6 port endplate hogged out to one big super bridgeport. i can't see any good velocity or proper flow happening here.
