Custom motormounts

Standalone ECU

Exhaust work

Higher compression rotors so it wont suck.

Just get a S4 or S5 N/A motor

I have not done it, but the low compression rotors aren't that much lower in compression than a stock Series 4, and awfully close to the earlier 13Bs. I would not count them as a liability. The aircraft guys run turbo engines without the turbos and don't seem to have any problems with power generation, in fact they report that peak power levels are similar to stock turbocharged form. You lose out on low end power, but you also lose out on killing the engine via detonation. I know I'd miss that part

Assuming the injectors would fit the FD intake manifold, the stock fuel injection should work well enough to drive. It won't be optimal, but it's not optimal for even a bone stock engine, either. It should run just fine, airflow meters cover for many sins.

If it's for a basic repower, a standard engine would be a much better idea due to the motor mount and flywheel/clutch considerations. If it's for an all out 4 port, the tuning and exhaust considerations are non-considerations since they will have to be dealt with anyway in the pursuit of power.
