I think im gonna stick to turbo rotors. Besides, i only want to rebuild it once
Why did u ask the question in the first place?

if u tune it wrong its gonna blow anyway, the rotors wouldnt make a difference

whatever is cheaper and in good shape will get you where you want to go.
Finally, a voice of reason.

Hey, you wanne experiment with high C/R + turbo go ahead. But why recommend it if you havent done it yet yourself?

Never the less, i thank you for your response.

So what im getting is that there is no significant improvements between turbo rotors

I've done a high comp turbo engine (series 4 N/A) worked beautifully... I'd definatly never go back below the 9.4:1 ratio unless I had a very good monetry reason to do so.

Pretty much. And of course there is the fact that I am a cheap bastard.

I'm waiting for the day that someone walks up and hands me a set of NA rotors so I can try it. As a side note there weren't any NA FC's in Japan from the factory, and I live in Japan.

from what ive read and talking to the big engine builders in the us, canada and australia it seems the s4 t2 are the way to go for higher boost. s5 t2/s6 are the same rotor with a different part number. The s4 t2 rotors are alot stronger and can from what ive been told is some of those big power guys have s5 and up rotors actually collapesing on them. As for the compression, you wont really see a noticable difference between s4 and s5+ t2 rotors. The s4 are just stronger (and heavier ... but they can rev to 8500 no problem, do you need more revs than that on boost?). My engine is using s4 rotors, but i plan on 25 psi with race gas, im shooting for 500+ whp. So you might want to go with whatever is cheap and avaliable, because any of those rotors will get you to 350

Tanks, and no, i dont see a need to go beyond 8500 rpm. Maybe on an N/A though!

Ya know.. correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mazda have an RX7... 2nd gen I wanna say that had lightweight rotors? I don't know by how much but wouldn't reducing rotating mass increase the life span of the motor and boost performance?

I know that the S5 rotors, both N/A and turbo were machiened and lighter. An all together better rotor. The drawback to the S5 is the higher compression ratio, and a lower safe zone for high boost

The S4 is lower C/R, and im not sure but I think the side seals are thicker. But, the rotors are heavier. Thats why i was asking, to see if anyone switched to either and found them better.
