I know when you mount the water pump there is a gasket that goes between the pump and the engine, but is there a gasket that goes between the part that spins and the actual water pump housing. It seems like water would leak there but i don't see anywhere that says you need to put a gasket there. anyone know?

Ya if your talking about the water pump itself yes.

There's two. One for the pump housing-to-motor and another from the pump-to-pump housing.

Don't worry though if you get it wrong and leave one out, you'll find out right away.
