And my engine will be assembled in a week or two, woo!!!

But seriously, I have had them in my hand and they are very professionally made. Each seal is numbered one thru six, along with each matching end piece. I guess I should try to break one with a hammer or something to see how brittle they are, huh?

Life time warranty What will they pay for if they do fail because of the apex seal? It would be worth it if the replace the housing/rotor. I am sure I could break them!

the lifetime warranty says "stock applications". I dont' know if that's stock engine/turbos or if we could have a stock engine with aftermarket turbos. Either way, I may try these out.

I just ordered 2 sets. The first set will go into my naturally aspirated fc. The 2nd will be for my fd if I like them. Mazda wants over $60 a piece for the new 2mm 2 piece seals. Thats bullshit.

I'm wondering if they are going to need special clearancing?

Actually the only thing that I had to do was trim them down a lttle, just like you do to the side seals. That was all.

If you match the numbers, from the main piece to the side peice, they are already the right length...

Thats why they number them...

I got a couple of kits from rotary aviation just prior to them announcing this, I think these are the seals that are running in my s5 sp 13bt, so far so good, I have been up to 16 psi a couple of times and life was good afterwards...Maxt

Genuine Mazdas are $100 (AUS) each here, so about the same price as the US.

I have a set of the rotary aviation seals on order for my 20B rebuild. The clearance question is one I am curious about too. Other aftermarket seals need special (ie non-std) clearances. Is there anything about clearances in the documentation?

My Hurley seals were matched and perfect length. As should the new seals be...hopefully!

BTW, why you didn't mention in your signature your other steeds- bunky Toyota ute, and Family wagon?
