Hello all,



I have a 12a In my baja bug, with a VW 02 bus box built for the 12a. The starter I have is a high tourqe VW starter that mounts to the trans. I think I need a different starter because the one I have doesn't spin the rpm's I need to turn the motor over. Soon as I bump start it it fires up. Any thoughts???

 

maybe a old top mount starter?

 

Get a starter from an automatic bus or something. I don't remember if any trimming of the metal around the cone is required.
