Six Port....... Porting.......turboing.......etc.
ok, what i have is a 13b out of a 86 base, what i want to do is put '91 rotors in, port it, and add turbo (t3/t04) to this equation, would that be a hard road to travel? actually what im asking is, is that probable, thats what i have to work with, and if it is whats the best port setup i should do? thanx
You don't need a S5 eshaft to just run S5 rotors?!!
The stock 6-ports are pretty good for turbo'ing, IMHO you should definatly be taking out the sleves and actuating hardware. I had a hybrid turbo on my stock '86 N/A, originally off a Mitsubishi, but had been hiflowed with a T04 front and a bigger exhaust wheel and housing to suit. Was a great sized turbo for the job, never got to take it to a dyno before a chipped a couple of apex seals due to a wastegate line falling off!
But I did run a 14.8 on an untuned microtech running 4-5psi... hehe.
Thats with some bald 60/205 yokohama A539's... which as some people here might be aware are a pretty **** tyre

T3/t4 turbo could basically be anything at all...........
MOST T3/T4 hybrid turbo have a too small of an exhaust housing (usually T3 sized) to not choke a rotor.
However some, like for instance my hybrid t3/t4 turbo has a larger exhuast wheel than a stock Series 4 one with a machined out housing to suit... and a T04 front on it..
So like I said, T3/T4 doesn't particularly mean that much at all, you need the exact specs of it.
