six to four port

As of now, I am running a 'half bridge' S4 six port on my street car. It is very fast, and not as "unstreetable" as most fourm members make it out to be. But thinking ahead, I am sure I will get tired of this thing one day, cause gas is starting to go back up.
So I was thinking of a motor that would have more torque, and use less gas to get me around. And this is the idea i came up with. Basicaly, i want to either turn the aux. port actuater backwards, so it is pluging off the inlet for that port. Then on the inside of the motor, grind away the divider so it will be a "monster" port wich we have all seen.
My other option, wich I like better, is to get a steel or cast iron rod. press it into the aux port like a plug. then fasten it with bolts or the like. From there port the entire bowl into a nice smoot transition.
Waht I am wanting to do is increase the intake velocity but still retain the port timing of a sixport.
I have a few spare motors laying around, so as soon as moner permits, in gonna try this out. As far as intakes go, i was gonna just putty up either a stock n/a or turbo manifold and then port. but i also have a jay-teck six port i would like to try. Or matbe even a custom tubular manifold.
But at this point its only a pipe dream.
any opinions?

I understand your thinking but I would suspect that with only one runner feeding such a large port, the runner would choke off a lot of your flow. You would have to port the runner out a lot and then you risk breaking through the casting. Also, the LIM would have to be modified to account for the change in the flow pattern.
From a fluid mechanics perspective, the plug method will work MUCH better than just plugging the aux port at the gasket which is essentially what you are doing if you flip the sleeve around. Less sharp edges and transition layers will equal much better flow.
