just wondering if any one has any pics or info on special tools for cutting side seals and getting a good finish as every one i have asked uses a bench grinder and a stone...... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

a dremal tool and a sanding drum works, just remember to grind at an angle to match the radious of the corner seal.

by hand justs as you or i will do, a jig on a bench grinder is how the manufacturer does it

At the factory, mazda has a special machine set-up to cut side seals, they cut them to various pre-sized lengths in order to allow the rotor-stuffer to do selective fit of the various seals.

Rob at Pineapple Racing is supposedly prototyping a seal fitting fiture to sell to the public. Call him for the status.

I'd like to rig something up with an old rotor and a sanding drum in the corner seal hole. I used the sanding drum on the dremel last time and that worked okay but it's a bit difficult to guide the side seal by hand.
