good news is its metal, same bolt pattern as the fd (rx8 does water pump and front cover with a single gasket), its metal, and it does away with the front cover o ring.

N3H1-10-502B, list price is 13.50

Newer FD in Japan uses metal gasket as well.(98+). The new irons do not have o-ring recess like older ones which would probably affect the fitment of the gasket.

How many you want? I have a direct link.....

I built a s1 fd motor over there and they supplied me with old style gasket and 0-ring, but metal with newer iron when I built s3 fd motor. Its probably can be done then, but may not be the best fit or recommended ?.

N3A1-10-C00B, N3A1-10-C00C, N3A1-10-C00D might be setup to take the o ring. they superceed to a

N3F1-10-C00, which maybe takes the metal gasket?

For all those interested in doing this mod here is what I found. http://www.rotaryheads.com/modifications/r...gasket_mod.html Personally I don't use a gasket I use this between the front cover and front intermediate http://www.permatex.com/right_stuff/right_stuff1.asp Never have a problem with it leaking and also puts more pressure down on the O-ring and prevents it from blowing out due to high oil pressures 100+psi. Look in the Racing Beat performance manual and look under oiling modifications tells you to do the same thing. Very handy book https://www.racingbeat.com/catordrform.htm also look here in the technical section http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/webapp/wcs...es/servlet/Tech
