Rotor Housing-to-side Housing Water Seal
[quote name='DJ Rotor' date='May 16 2005, 11:46 AM']Ted it sounds like you use hylomar just on the seal itself, not the housings, am I right?

That is correct.
Getting Hylomar on the "insides" of the combustion surfaces just slows down the engine rotation; it can cause headaches when first firing the engine.
Getting the Hylomar on the water jacket passages just ends up washing away in the coolant.
This stuff is not supposed to be water soluable, so you'll get little ***** of this stuff floating around in your cooling system - no good.
Hylomar doesn't really stick to anything by design.
It's supposed to help with gasket sealing.
I've never used it as a sealer just by itself.
