rick says no on street cars, he has a different ideology for street use
i will say this much:
on cranking to build oil pressure (no fuel/plugs, just cranking to fill my 8qt oil setup) i was making 60psi of oil pressure...
at idle when cold, she makes 100psi oil pressure,
at idle when warm, she makes 60psi oil pressure
cruising, anything above 2-3k on street, oil pressure is 120psi+
and the claim that this is a result of new bearings is invalid, as the bearings were "worn" on a lathe, so they are clearanced properly....my breakin is mainly on the combustion wear surfaces and new oil control rings, not the bearings
great so far, the rest is up to the haltech, rick suggested i run valvoline 20w50 synthetic, with his work he's done on the bearings, synthetic on startup was okay in this application
i will report back with mileage updates, 65miles so far!

Hod did you get a 8qt oil system. Its looks like the stock oil pan, are you using to huge oil coolers or something?
